Comedy / Vino / More Paint

Hi all,
Just a quick weekend update!

Another fantastic weekend had by all. Friday night I had a ball at Karaoke Night with the girls -- I'm not a good singer but it was fun to be with great friends. We belted out "YMCA" and "Fly Me to the Moon" (Mona and I's new theme song). We shared some pizza, pasta and spinach salad along with Mona's magic potent drink (which made us all much better).

Saturday was a day of some work: painting window sills and the kitchen. We still managed to squeeze in some more fun a wine tasting event at Hannah Nicole Winery. They gave us the VIP tour of their new event center/tasting room which will hopefully be the future location of Mona and Peanut's wedding. It's going to be a beautiful venue. The event center will hold up to 250 people; they have a large tasting room and wine chiller; they even have an observation deck. Everyone enjoyed the wine and spirits -- looking forward to many more events at our local winery along with the upcoming June wedding. The evening didn't end there --
we went to a Bob and Tom Comedy All-Star Show which was extremely funny. It was a sold-out show! My ribs were hurting by the time we left! Laughter is such great medicine. The night was not complete without a little night cap at Anthony and Mona's -- we enjoyed some dancing, pool playing and yep, you guessed it -- more vino! Our times with friends are truly valuable to me and I am grateful I'm surrounded with such fun, loving friends. Thanks buddies!

I'm glad it's a short week -- looking forward to some good food, another comedy show, a trip to Napa Valley, fun times with my girls, a good movie, and yes, more painting!
Enjoy this day!

43/25

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!
Today is my dear friend Renee's birthday -- she is only 43! We have been friends for 25 years! We've had a friendship filled with laughter, sadness, thrills, experiences, traveling, music, children, pets and many, many adventures. We go back a long way and there are countless stories to be told.
I dearly appreciate your friendship Renee and am blessed to have you in my life. You are truly special to me and I'm ready for another 25 years of stories and fun.
Love and hugs,
Veronique

Song and Celebration

Hi all,
Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Yes - of course I did.

Friday night we ventured off to see the new James Bond 007 movie at our "new" movie theater (which is super nice). Hadn't been to the movies for a long while so it was very enjoyable.

Saturday we concentrated on chores around the house followed by some fun. We took my buddy, Renee, out to dinner for her birthday and treated her to the Carrie Underwood Concert (which was fantastic). She sure has grown up and puts on a wonderful, energetic show -- lots of glitz, glamour, and song. Not only is she beautiful, she has a wonderful voice to go along with the beauty. Little Big Town opened the show -- very talented group of four. We all loved the show and can't wait to do it again next year.

Sunday was another day of work and play. We painted an accent wall in our living room (not too much fun with 24 ft. walls); still need to do a second coat. After some work, we joined our friends at a local winery for some tasting, sun and snacks. We continued the fun at their home for a potluck dinner. We provided the steaks, tuscan bean soup, wine, and a chocolate satin pie for dessert. It was a great time!

Hope you all had a relaxing weekend. I'm very sorry it's Monday.

BBQ and 2 Left Feet

Had a fun weekend with friends as we watched Shawna Lynn Band perform -- we danced the night away to her tunes on a crowded dance floor.

We started the night with some finger-lickin' good BBQ. French dip and country music go well together.

Attached is a photo of me letting loose and having fun (never a hard thing for me to do). I enjoyed doing some two-step and the line dances came back to me as the night went on. Renee is my idol and role model so I always look to her for showing me some new moves.

Another night of fun had by all.
