Sometimes do you come across something, someone, or an event that is very inspiring? I come across that every Tuesday night upon watching The Biggest Loser. I truly admire the contestants, their journey, and their mission. This show inspires me to exercise daily, challenge myself, and always make exercise a priority. Thankfully I am able to exercise every morning. It's a great way for me to start my day; it's energizing, healthy, and invigorating.
I do wish I could be on the show to experience their daily ritual (both with diet and exercise).
If you want motivation and inspiration, tune your TV channels to The Biggest Loser.
Be good to your body!

Keep Ticking

Howdy,
My little body is still keeping up with me. This morning I played 90 minutes of racquetball - singles, doubles and cut throat. I'm happy that my bones appear to be strong and that my heart continues to pump normally. Life is wonderful and I'm so very happy I'm healthy.
I had a great time. The competition was great!
Today, after work, I plan on putting my body to the test with some yard work (mowing, edging lawns, and walking the dog).
Enjoy this day.

Back Aches, Paint and Boxes

Yep - all three are needed to move! I was busy this weekend moving my daughter into an apt (two bedroom, two bath). I've forgotten how small apartments can be. I'm very lucky to own a home.

Anyhow, with the task at hand, we did tons of loading, unloading, climbing stairs, lifting heavy pieces of furniture, painting, cleaning, hanging curtains, setting up bedding, cleaning dishes and loading cupboards -- with all our hard efforts, the apartment is looking quite cute - definitely a chic pad! They have all they need to be happy, safe, and rested.

My back, on the other hand, is a bit sore and tired. My old bones are feeling the pressure. My muscles did a lot of work this weekend and I'm thankful I go to the gym daily.

It was a very productive weekend. So glad it's done.
Sore,

30

So hard to believe that in 30 days my daughter will be graduating from COLLEGE! I can't even get a grasp on this!! It seems like just yesterday I was walking her up to her kindergarten class. I am so very proud of her and her accomplishments. She's off to bigger and brighter endeavours and I know she will be successful.
Time sure flies -- enjoy each day!!

Flights

I'm headed off to the gym for the second time today. This morning it was a leg workout and a spin class. This afternoon is the stair climber -- 110 flights in 20 minutes. Hopefully all this will pay off!

It's 90 degrees outside -- just my type of weather. Soon I will start taking advantage of our pool (like tomorrow). Wish you could all join me poolside!

Hope everyone is having a cheery, uplifting day.

Dirt, Friends and Wine

Hi all,
Had a great weekend with dirt, friends and wine.

Friday night I went on a date with my husband. We went to the movies to see "State of Play" and had a great dinner out.

Saturday we went to our local winery to enjoy some vino in the vineyards and then headed to our friends for a BBQ. We were amongst great friends and of course had great times. Pictures shown: Erin's yummy fruit pizza, Peanut mixing up a batch of Margaritas, the girls lounging poolside, Peanut/Meghan dancing up a storm.

Sunday was a day of getting dirty in the garden. We planted tons of flowers (lantana, lavender) and shrubs (Japense boxwood, cypresses). Our yard is finally taking shape and I love the transformation. I've been doing a lot of pruning, weeding and administering a lot of TLC.

Today it's due to reach 95 degrees so I just might enjoy a little dip in our pool along with some warm sun rays.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

I hope you all get tons of $$$$ in return.

TGIF

So very glad it's Friday. Ready to hit happy hour with my friend, pick up my hubby from the airport and have a fabulous weekend (and Easter).
It's been a stressful week at work -- one of good-byes, restructuring, moving, cleaning, training and starting over.
I'm hoping Monday will be a positive new start of half days.
Enjoy this day!

Still hope for a bright future.
Still can't wait for the hot summer days.
Still remember the carefree days of being a teenager.
Still appreciate the small things in life.
Still value my friendships will ALL my friends.
Still love having a routine with everything that I do.

Spring Days

With spring upon us, I was able to enjoy some local wine events this weekend. A group of friends went wine tasting in Livermore at McGrails and then attended a barrel tasting at Hannah Nicole Vineyards. Both functions were tons of fun; lots of friends showed up and it was great to catch up.

Peanut had an after party where everyone continued to socialize, eat and drink. The weather was perfect for a late night outside.

Check back tomorrow -- I will post photos.

Enjoy this Monday,

Colors

I have truly been enjoying my garden lately -- not only for therapy but for exercise and spring sprucing. All my weeds are gone; my bushes are trimmed; the lawn is fertilized and edged. Now I will start planting flowers in pots and adding some much deserved color.
