Kick it!

I joined a Kickball League - our first official game is tonight! I hope we smoke them! It's super fun but boy am I sore from practice - my bones are getting old. From kicking, running bases, and catching fly balls, my body has been put into overdrive. It's a blast though!

The Red Rooster Express is here to kick some booty!

Had a fun night with friends (including Nacho Libre) at the Hannah Nicole Music in the Vineyards night. They were featuring a Rolling Stones tribute band - great times! Nacho was a big hit!

Ventured off to Livermore with friends to visit Ruby Hill Winery and Tenuta Winery; both a first time visit by us. We loved it! We were given the VIP tour at Tenuta; lots of barrel tastings and extra samples. Ruby Hill also treated us well and the group loved their wines. After our samplings we ventured off to San Francisco were we went to Casa Novas and Kell's bars; very interesting venues. We topped off the evening with dinner at Buca de Bepo; super yummy family style italian dinner.

Today was a fun day at the California State Fair. Tracey and I enjoyed the exhibits, livestock (especially the newborn nursery), agriculture and of course all the fair foods (garlic fries, nachos and the yummy funnel cakes). Our main attraction was the Martina McBride concert. We had 10th row seats!! It was an awesome concert featuring a mix of all her famous tunes. We ended the night with a tour of the carnival rides even taking a ride on the swings -- great day, great fun, great laughs!

1951

That is the year my parents were married. Today is their 59th wedding anniversary. I couldn't be more proud to have such loving, devoted, sweet, and dedicated parents. How lucky I am!!

I can only hope to capture a small wedge of their marriage wisdom; I hope to at least have 40 more years of wedded bliss which would total 50!

Birthday Giants Game - June 27, 2010

My birthday weekend was celebrated with friends and boy did we have fun! We went to a Giants game (although they lost); 75 degree weather in San Francisco - it was the perfect day (of course I ordered great weather for my special day).

We continued our celebration at a BBQ for me and my friend Matt (his birthday is one day after mine). We celebrated in style with pomegranate martinis, wine, beer, cigars, and lots of good food - of course I was the only sober one in the bunch. We tried our skills at swimming; more like wading. It was a great day with friends! I am so lucky to have such close, caring friends. They made my day.
