From the Weekend

I'm getting slow in my old age.....

Here is a recap of yet another fun weekend.
Breanna came to visit on Friday - we had a lot of girl time. We got some yogurt on Friday night after her arrival. Always a yummy treat.

Saturday I started my day with a nice long walk bright and early. So love walking when there is peace in the air; the birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, and the air is crisp and clean.
Saturday afternoon was a time spent shopping - a girls favorite activity. We found a lot of good deals and came home with a lot of packages.

Saturday night we went to a friend's house in Livermore for a BBQ. They fired up some 2 inch think rib eyes - super yummy and too filling.

Sunday we treated ourselves to a pedicure - way overdue for me. It was so relaxing and pampering.
We had the family over for our Sunday dinner; always a fun time.

We finished off the weekend with our salsa lesson.

It was a great set of days.

New Tastings

Hi all,

Had the chance to attend the Livermore Barrel Tasting this past weekend. It was our first time to this event.

We tasted at:

- Bent Creek Winery

- el Sol Winery

- Les Chenes Estate Vineyards

- McGrail Vineyards & Winery

- Wood Family Vineyards

- Private tasting at our friends house (property backs Concannon Vineyard)

It was a gorgeous day; fun festivites; great friends; fine vino! Had a fantastic dinner at McNamara's in Dublin - great steak house!

Until the next adventure,
Caio,

Behind the Lense

This weekend I had the opportunity of shooting jr. prom photos for Danielle. She's such a beautiful subject.
I shot 265 photos (of her, her friends, her and her date, the surroundings). It brought me back to the days when my girls went to prom - I had a house full of girls, giggles, and nerves.

I cherish these times; times that I reminisce; times that I can capture memories for friends; times that bring a smile to my face.

Thank you Danielle for allowing me to freeze this special time for you and your family.

Attached are a few snapshots of the day.
Enjoy,
V

GIRLS GONE WILD '10

WE DID IT!

GIRLS GONE WILD '10!

We sailed away on March 12 from the port of Long Beach, CA and embarked on our journey to Ensenada, Mexico. This was a four-day cruise on the Carnival Paradise (also known as the Party Ship).
Passengers:

Carmen (Sarita)
Pollyanna (Paula)
Amers (Amy)
Wilma (Veronique)
Betty (Monica)
Lady O (Jackie)

It was all we thought it would be (and more):
- Sunny days
- Feeling "shippy"
- LOTS of fun
- Great entertainment
- Fruity drinks
- A million laughs (side splitting laughs); even peeped the pants laughs
- Kodak moments
- Very limited sleep
- Mona's nightmares
- Beautiful sunsets
- Meeting new people
- Purchasing unique gifts (Nacho mask for Carmen (better know as Sarita))
- Hot tubs
- Looking hot on elegant night
- Shredding the dance floor
- Getting lost on the ship
- Getting loud
- Learning the Jai Ho song
- Slight sun burns
- The bubbly stuff - champagne
- Sore legs/knees from all the dancing - Carmen lost her Chernobyl fluid in her knees

It was such a great girls getaway - one I will always remember.

Thank you my fellow travelers/friends/chicas/amigas - you have permanently engrained the meaning of GIRLS GONE WILD for me! Let's do it again in '11.

Adios,
V

Birthday Wishes and Fun

This past weekend we took the time to celebrate Breanna's birthday just a few days earlier - I have to take what time I can when they are home visiting. Home visit are few and far between.
She's going to soon be 23! Yes - I'm getting old. So hard to believe.
We had a delightful weekend with friends celebrating at a Tamayo Wine Event - delicious wines, great appetizers, and super wine education. We continued our wine tasting at Hannah Nicole. Breanna had never been to their new tasting room so we honored her with a visit.
We had a delicious dinner at Capp's - Breanna was lovin' the lemon drop martini's and her surf and turf dinner.
We did a guest appearance at Vic Stewart's for a birthday cocktail and finished off the evening at CoCo County for some live music and dancing.
Sunday was a family celebration with the grandparents and her uncle. We had our standard Sunday dinner but this time my dad made Breanna's favorite homemade stew and she requested lemon tarts for dessert (which was made with my dad's secret recipe). Of course it was all yummy and we all overate. Breanna enjoyed all her gifts and was spoiled!

So very happy she could visit and we could spend undivided time with her. Can't wait until the next visit!
Cheers,
V
